- Applicant must have participated in, and competed in, gymnastics as part of a team in either a school setting or part of a club team.
- Applicant must complete a 200-500 word essay stating how gymnastics has affected his/her life incorporating his/her interpretation of the Air Force values of INTEGRITY, SERVICE, and EXCELLENCE.
- Each applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from his/her gymnastics coach.
- Each applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from a favorite teacher.
- Applicants under consideration will be called for a phone interview. Therefore, a working phone # and best time of day to be called will be needed. Please specify if the number is attached to a land line or cell phone.
- Applicant must be a senior in high school and have been accepted at either a two or four-year accredited college or other accredited school for continuing education.
- Applicant is not required to major in sports medicine, coaching, kinesiology, or other degree plans that are associated with gymnastics.
- Application, coach recommendation, letter from a favorite teacher, and essay must be post marked no later than May 31, 2017 to be considered for the 2017 fall semester.
- This scholarship is renewable, so persons awarded this year who do well in their first year of classes, may re-apply for the following year and subsequent years until graduation.
- Winners of this year’s scholarships will be notified before the end of July. All monies will be sent directly to the educational institute to be applied to the student’s tuition and fees; books, etc.
